A bit about Antonia M

I am an experienced, motivated and energetic English teacher with a background teaching English to speakers of other languages abroad and in the UK. I am a dedicated practitioner continuously assessed as outstanding in my observations. I am a subject specialist with an MA in English and an expert knowledge of the English language due to my experience teaching EFL. With ten years’ teaching experience, I am committed to providing the best possible service to my learners by continually developing my skills and practice; as seen in my procurement of teaching qualifications (TEFL, Celta & PGCE) as well as my academic record. In lesson observations I have been told that I create dynamic and engaging lessons and foster a strong rapport with my students. I have experience working with students at all levels and in many different cultures and settings and with my previous experience in EFL and SEN, my lessons always promote differentiation and inclusion. My specialist subjects are English and EAL/EFL (English as a foreign language). With a BA (Hons) in Film Studies, I am also happy to teach film and media. My experience to date has included teaching the English language abroad in language schools and international schools, teaching EAL learners in the post 16 sector, teaching EFL to international students at the University of Hull and teaching SEN. I have a PGCE & QTLS as well as specialist EFL qualifications, such as TEFL & Celta. Academically, I have a BA in film and an MA in English as well as A-Levels and GCSEs.
