A bit about Pauline C

I have a bachelors degree in business studies and a masters degree in educational technology. I have seven years teaching experience in business and information studies, GCSE Maths and English. I work mostly with FE students. I also have experience with students with specific learning difficulties. Your success is really important to me, I am creative and will find an effective way to help you learn. My background is in business studies and I have also taught international students Business English. I teach GCSE Maths and English in Further Education. I enjoy helping beginners and students who do not feel confident and those with specific learning needs. I first started tutoring when I was in school, I helped a neighbour with their French lessons. I have been tutoring online for 3 years. My specialist subjects are GCSE Maths, English, Business Studies and A level Business Studies. I taught English to Chinese students and I worked in adult education teaching A level and GCSE business studies to adult learners. I have a bachelors degree in business studies and a master’s in educational technology. I have a City and Guilds qualification in teaching adults and further education. I also have taken a teacher immersion program in Florida. I have worked in both the US and English education systems. I worked in US college admissions and am happy to help students with US college applications. I like to find out what my students already know and take it from there. I believe in the scaffolding approach. It’s good to relate new teaching to existing knowledge. I understand that each student has a unique way of learning and that learning styles are important. Some students are more auditory, some visual and some kinesthetic, this influences my teaching style. I like to ask questions and get feedback from my students to tailor the learning to their specific needs.
