A bit about Mirela

I have just graduated, completing my MSc Mechanical Engineering degree. I am now dedicated to tutoring full time, after having enjoyed my part-time tutor job at uni so much! I work by explaining the core fundamentals of each subject, and building on that, before completing weekly test questions, to improve confidence. I specialise in Mathematics, English, Science and Physics. The first ever lesson with a new student, is always an introductory session, where I establish the student's strengths and weaknesses. A regular tutor session will involve revising one topic of the proposed subject, by going through the revision pages on BBC bitesize, discussing in further detail errors of concern on the whiteboard, providing interactive questions for the student to complete, before an end of lesson test to establish the student's new level of understanding. I first started tutoring a 5 years ago, beginning with primary school children to help build their confidence in subjects they struggle with. I then began tutoring 1st year Mechanical Engineering students, where I found I had a gift with breaking complex problems down, so that anyone can understand them. Finally, I became a tutor with company MyTutor, where I have gained over 300 hours of 1:1 tutoring experience, specialising in Maths, English, Science and Physics from primary level through to GCSE. I love the rewarding nature of the job the most. It truly brings me happiness seeing my students' joy when they finally ace that test or exam that they were first so worried about.
