A bit about Duncan C

I specialise in Biology as I have taught A Level Biology for 20 years. I have also taught GCSE Maths and Chemistry and am comfortable teaching GCSE Physics too. I am sure that in order for students to achieve their potential they need to be involved in the learning process. This means they need to be active in the lesson rather than listen to me the whole time. Really, my job is to steer the student and address any misunderstanding so students will need to be ready to show what they know at the start of a lesson and then be ready to answer lots of questions within the lesson. I have a degree in Biochemistry and CertMaths from the Open University. This is in addition to my PGCE qualification.
