A bit about Alice T

I have a wealth of teaching experience which spans higher education to working more recently in secondary schools, teaching English. I've worked extensively with International students, teaching IELTS and OET courses, as well as Business/Legal English. Having also trained and worked with students with SEMH needs, I feel confident in tailoring my lessons for all students needs and have seen many students that struggle in the classroom, really enjoy and progress with online learning. I'm passionate about learning and enjoy supporting all my students to gain in confidence and achieve their goals. Through listening to the students needs and building a positive, trusting relationship, my lessons are always tailored for the individual and their specific goals. I 've worked recently, as an online law tutor for the University of London and as an English Teacher (remote and in classroom) for secondary schools and in all my lessons, I engage the student by using a wide range of resources and variety in teaching strategies, ensuring that all aspects of up to date effective teaching are present, whilst the lesson is fun and appropriately challenging for the individual student . Having qualified as a secondary school teacher of English, I specialize in preparing students for GCSE and A' level exams. As a tutor of English I have also successfully prepared students for IGCSE, Functional Skills English and IELTS/OET. Yet I also have a Master's in Law and have taught Law in higher education. I've tutored law online at University level and have successfully tutored Law, Criminology and Sociology at GCSE and A 'level.
