A bit about Bethany C

I believe that my lessons are the perfect mixture of fun and challenging! I like to make sure that there are competitive elements to my lessons, where students can interact with each other and work in teams as well as working independently. Collaborative work is encouraged as students can explore different ideas and perspectives. I thoroughly enjoy reading fascinating novels and exploring the different themes at play. There is room for interpretation and I love discussing the implicit meanings behind texts. Picking out interesting language techniques and determining their importance and value is also compelling. My students give me intriguing perspectives and I enjoy learning from them. I strongly believe in cultivating a growth mind-set. Believing that you CAN achieve and reach your goals is very important. Learning starts with a positive and open mind frame. Mistakes are inevitable and welcome, as they lead to learning and growth. I am patient and encouraging. My lessons are a safe space where students can feel simultaneously comfortable and challenged.
