A bit about Kieran G

My specialisation is Biology, though I have a firm grasp of the core concepts of Chemistry and Physics as well. Alongside this, my background in marine biology and animal conservation tends to lean my style and tecahing towards real world examples and experiences relating to course content in the field. Life! Biology is the study of life, of what makes our planet unique (at the moment) in our galaxy. Our knowledge of biology is constantly changing, and being up to date with the changing trends and latest research means I'm always amazed by the developments in our understanding of the natural world. In particular, we know more about the surface of the moon, than our own planets deep oceans. Individuals come first, teaching is about building a connection with students and allowing them to build a connection with you. I learn my students strengths and weaknesses, building on those strengths and helping them to find ways to prop up their weaker points, all the while keeping things relaxed and focussed on putting course content into context that is understandable and memorable for each student.
