A bit about Leah

Hello! My name is Leah and I am currently in my final year of my BSc Psychology (Hons) degree at the University of the West of England. I have over a year's experience of online tutoring, as well as many years working with children and young people in various roles. I also work as a tutor in schools, tutoring 1-1 or in small groups. As a university student, I understand how hard exams can be. I remember feeling a lot of stress and pressure during my GCSE's and A-Levels, so I am here to help relieve some of this from you! My recent experience of this means that I know the exam board very well, as the majority hasn't changed. This gives me the advantage of viewing it from a students point of view as well as a tutors! I am happy to plan lessons to suit your needs; whether this is exam/mock prep, past paper practice, or reviewing specific topics. I also have more generic lessons which can strengthen your core skills. GCSE AQA English Language GCSE AQA English Literature (Inspector Calls and Macbeth ONLY) Year 5, 6 and KS3 English AQA Psychology A-Level I can adapt to suit individual students needs, but I always like to make sure my student gets a chance to practice what they have learnt during the lesson. This reinforces learning and helps students to thrive. I started tutoring in November 2020, teaching English to year 6 pupils in preparation for their SATS. Shortly after, I began to expand the age groups and subjects I teach: KS3, GCSE and A Level; English Language, Literature and Psychology. Watching pupils confidence grow and thrive academically is very rewarding, and receiving positive feedback from my students is always a motivator! I have been told by students that my lessons are fun and engaging, which is great to hear.
