A bit about Kane T

I have always loved language - I'm fascinated by the power that it has to persuade and inform. I pursued this passion in my academic career at Durham University, reading Modern Languages & Cultures, eventually graduating with First Class (Hons.) and proceeding to complete a Master's in London in Performance Studies. My undergraduate dissertation, on Spanish Sociolinguistics, received a mark of 84% and my undergraduate translation work has been used as exemplary in academic publication.

I first started tutoring English as a Second Language during my Year Abroad from my Undergraduate Degree. This ignited a passion for teaching in me that I didn't necessarily realise I had prior; yet I have since gone on to tutor for over five years in a variety of settings. Working with some of London's foremost tutoring agencies, I have tutored young people to success in 11+ Exams, and at A-Level, GCSE & KS3.

Usually, my specialisms lie within Modern Languages (Spanish, Arabic & French), though my wide research base and extensive knowledge of the UK Examination Bodies has enabled me to tutor in many other disciplines. In particular, I'm an experienced tutor for KS3 & GCSE Maths & English, working with both borderline and high-achieving pupils to get the best out of their work. I have also tutored many other humanity and essay subjects, such as History, Sociology, Geography, and Anthropology, to name a few.
