A bit about Joshua L

I specialise in maths and its applications. Fundamentally that would be fluid mechanics, hydrodynamics (of which I am currently a PhD researcher), thermodynamics and heat transfer, calculus, solid mechanics, matrices, energy studies, design and project work, and dynamics. My teaching style is flexible to my clients needs. I can focus on exam preparation to get the best possible mark and/or I can focus on teaching fundamentals to ensure the student fully grasps the concepts being thought. Hello! My name is Josh and I am a Research Engineer and Private Tutor from the UK! I am currently studying towards an engineering PhD and already hold a Masters (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering. My experiences range from working in one of Europe’s largest and most complex oil refineries to designing and building the front wing of the university’s formula student car, and complex computational fluid dynamics analysis of tidal stream turbine wake effects. My current research concerns analysing the hydrodynamics of natural leaky dams as a sustainable solution to managing the freshwater resource.
