A bit about Anna G

I am a highly motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who is bilingual (Italian – English) with more than twenty years of teaching experience. I always deliver high quality lessons, evaluating their impact and developing future planning accordingly. I am able to Implement innovative teaching and learning strategies. I am a native Italian teacher also specialized in Business Studies, I thought the subject for many years (KS3 and KS4). Over the years I thought Italian to GCSE student and to adults who had an interest in History of Art. I am very passionate about the Italian language and I love to facilitate my students learning be implementing different teaching strategies. Introduction, main body, activity to assess students understanding, plenary. I explain to the student the topic considering any possible existing knowledge. The activity based on the topic, allows me to identify the students ability and understanding and gives me the opportunity to tailor my teaching to the student's needs. I start tutoring years ago. I thought Italian in UK and English to Italian students via Zoom or Skype. It has been a rewarding experience because has given me the opportunity to relate the Italian Grammar to the English Grammar. It is always rewarding to receive positive feedback and to witness students achievements! I love to teach my subject/subjects because I can inject some enthusiasm in my students. In so doing the process of teaching and learning it is facilitate. During my teacher career (twenty years), I thought mix ability ability students and often even the low ability pupils achieved good results because they embraced their learning with enthusiasm. I could describe my teaching style as Task-based style that allows a Task-based learning. Task-based learning, focuses on the completion of specific tasks through which language is taught and learned. Language learners use the language that they know to complete a variety of assignments, acquiring new structures, forms and vocabulary as necessary. That enables me to assess the learners understanding. In my opinion the most favorite thing about being a tutor is the ability of pass on my subject knowledge to others by implementing different strategies. The learning process it is subjective, therefore it is challenging and also exciting for a tutor to tailor the teaching to individuals with different abilities. My teaching philosophy is based on various elements:. .my teaching methodology .the skills students should obtain as a result of my teaching .interaction with students .assessing students learning .personal growth (how will I continue growing as a teacher?) All the above become Teaching and Learning.
