A bit about Mrs I

I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher with QTS, PGCE, 2 degrees and 17 years of primary school teaching experience. I was Headteacher of a small, private primary school in London. I took the school through 3 Ofsteds and was head of department. I have worked in a number of state schools and special schools. At the moment I am teaching Literacy online and would welcome some more teaching work. My specialism is in Literacy. I have taught Literacy in KS1 and KS2. Whilst heading up a small private school, I was also to reiterate, head of a department for chol subjects, which included Literacy. I have also tutored in GCSE English and I am happy to continue to do this. Presently, I am teaching Literacy online which I enjoy. I have also been writing short stories and poems, for many years, having had some of my poems published. I feel this emphasises my interest in Literacy. I have an MA International Relations, BA Humanities, PGCE, QTS, City and Guilds 730 Further and Adult Education Teachers Certificate, Safeguarding Young People level 2. I was inspired to become a teacher, as I enjoy helping people and empowering them to help themselves. Knowledge is power and once pupils learn about their environment and surroundings, it helps them to navigate life more successfully. Education is vital in today's world. My job is to ensure that each child has the resources they need to be successful educationally. One of the favourite things about being a Tutor, is being able to guide pupils on their way to success with their studies. It's wonderful to see a pupil grasping a subject and feeling confident enough to write and talk about it.
