A bit about Jennifer H

As a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, I started tutoring AAT Level 2, 3, & 4 in a local further education college in 2018. I have extensive experience with online learning and have had significant exam success. As a Certified Xero Advisor, I also tutor Xero Accounting Software. I have many years of industry experience and I am passionate about sharing my extensive knowledge and practical experience with the next generation of Bookkeepers, Accountants and Business Professionals. I have 35 years practical experience in Accounting, Finance and Information Technology. Having trained in practice with Coopers & Lybrand for six years, I qualified in 1990, moved to work in Industry and settled into an exciting, high growth consulting career working with financial and business software solutions. I have an extensive background in process automation and technology solutions within large global enterprises. As part of a transition to self-employment, I moved into teaching in 2018. I run my own consulting business and as a finance super hero, I have a vision to make accounting more awesome for learners and smaller, local, owner managed businesses. Away from work I have an active lifestyle and keen interest in health and fitness. I enjoy snow sports, race competitively at triathlon and practice yoga and pilates at my local gym. In 2021 I won my age group at Ironman UK and Ironman 70.3 Bolton. I specialise in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Taxation, Xero and other Financial Software I love to help my learners achieve exam success and reach their full potential I am very flexible in my approach and will create a lesson plan with each learner to ensure that they experience successful learning outcomes. Success in endurance sports has taught me that every individual is different and with the right motivation, mentorship and coaching, all learners can be successful and achieve their full potential.
