A bit about Ryan C

Experienced teaching EDEXCEL, OCR, AQA, GCSE, iGCSE, and A Levels. From a topic point of view I specialise in Early Modern and Modern history. This includes: the Tudors, 20th century British history, the Cold War and 20th century German history. From an exam point of view I specialise in writing styles in order to help students to communiate their knowledge effectively. This means I can help with other topics as the writing skills are largely transferable between topics/papers/exam boards. ** PROVEN TRACK RECORD: 2021-22 academic results: Student A (A Level) - started on a C Grade; acheived A Grade Student B (A Level) - started on a D; achieved a B Grade Student C (iGCSE) - started on a Grade 6; achieved a Grade 9 *** I will always be led by your learning needs. If you want to go through a particular topic then that will be our focus; if you want to go through some homework, we'll do it together; if you want to see what a great exam answer looks like, we'll pick it a part and analyse what makes it great. As well as an Upper Second History degree I also have a Distinction from Oxford university in Teaching and Learning. Both my undergrad and masters degress have allowed me to understand what students need and how to meet these needs.
