A bit about Dominique D

I have been class teaching and coordinating curricula for over 30 years both in UK and internationally. I have just returning back to UK and would now like to tutor online from home to enjoy a more flexible lifestyle where I can still maintain my passion for education. I enjoy making learning accessible and fun for all. I hope to create open minded and critical thinking students who enjoy the journey of learning. Throughout more that 30 years of teaching I have studied and practised best practise for education. I like to find out what the student already knows and what their background and interest is in the area of study. I help them find connections to be able to link new knowledge. I like students to create manageable goals and a time frame so they develop successful outcomes for themselves. As a teacher of over 30 years experience I have been tutoring both in my classes and on a more small group and individual basis for the same amount of time. I have previously tutored in person one to one to help students study for Common Entrance Exams and to help reinforce concepts for those who require extra help or who enjoy learning in a different way. All upper primary core subjects, English, Maths, Science and Humanities,. I have many years experience teaching students who have English as a second language.
