A bit about Marcus J Meadham

I am a very experienced teacher. I have worked in UK and in international schools all over the world. I have been Head of Humanities for a number of years. My main qualification is in Economics which I have taught to DP and A level. I have also taught Business and Management and History to DP/A-level. I am very familiar with GCSE. I make sure that lessons follow a scheme of work based on the particular syllabus of the course. I tend to provide some information for students to absorb. I then design tasks based on information provided and monitor the progress of the student through feedback and questioning. The key points are then summarised at the end of the class and then revisited at the beginning of the next lesson. I try to make lessons enjoyable for students by facilitating learning rather than simply lecturing. Economics DP, A-Level, IGCSE. I have been teaching these courses since 1986. Business DP, A-level, IGCSE. I have taught Business and Management to DP level and IGCSE in several schools. History DP. GCSE. I have taught IGCSE History in a number of schools and in the last 10 years took advantage of the opportunity to teach the subject for the Diploma Programme. I have been working in international schools until June 2021 so have not been tutoring to this point. However, during Covid-19, all classes were online for the past year in my last employment at Renaissance International School, Saigon, Vietnam. I also have experience of online teaching at International School of Lusaka since the government closed all schools due to a cholera outbreak.
