A bit about Melanie R

Qualified Lecturer of English and an Examiner for GCSE English Language & Literature. I have 20-years experience teaching all levels and abilities of English, from 11+ to GCSE, A-Level and above. English Language & Literature Initially after asking students if they have any specific areas where they would like to develop skills in, either vocabulary/spelling/ grammar or creative writing ; I would encourage new students to complete a short writing task, in order to ascertain their level and conduct a diagnostic assessment on the piece of work done. After this, I plan lessons to ensure that I 'fill the gaps' with the required skills and knowledge. I started teaching and offering tuition in 2002, after completing my post graduate in education at university.
