A bit about Maria K

I specialise in English Language achieving a 9 (A**) and English Literature achieving an 8 (A*) at GCSE. I studied English at A-Level and am currently studying English Language and Creative Writing at University. Last year I received the Peter James Breakthrough Award which is awarded to the highest performing student in second year. I love English! I have studied Macbeth, A StreetCar Named Desire, Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, and many more! I am available for teaching up to A-Level level! At a lower level, I can also tutor for Math, Psychology, History (both of which i studied at A-Level) and Sciences! I can also teach English as a Foreign Language! Whatever your need just inquire! B Product Design A* French B Biology C Physics C Chemistry I am currently a University Student studying English Language and Creative Writing. One of my modules is actually English Language Teaching, so tutoring will be a great experience. As a child, I travelled the world with my Father who taught at International Schools. Being able to tutor as a side job while studying my course will allow me to sharpen my skills for certain modules, gain experience, all while doing something I enjoy. I am an easily approachable, outgoing individual who finds it easy to connect with others. As a kid, I would come home from school and teach my little brother everything I had learnt in my lessons. Today, he is an extremely intelligent young man studying Computer Science at Leeds and I consider that one of my biggest achievements! Aha, no but I believe one of my biggest success's is my little brother as throughout his school education I would always tutor him in English and History and he achieved incredible results in all his exams! I am a proud sister. I also did some peer teaching for GCSE students while I was studying my A-Levels. My best revision method was also teaching others what I had learnt! My teaching style is to remain friendly and approachable. I don't think being scared of your teachers ever gets you anywhere. You want to be able to ask them anything and everything. There are no stupid questions! At the end of the day, I want my students to know I was in the exact same situation as them and I am here to help! I want to work with you to make sure you learn and understand, all while enjoying it! I am all for working at the pace and method that best suits you. After all, you're the one who knows how you learn best. At the end of the day, I'm easy-going and fun and I want you to find learning enjoyable!
