A bit about Cathal C

I have taught Mathematics for over 25 years and have tutored privately for over 8 years. I have taught in London (15 years), Northern Ireland (7 years), the Middle East (4 years) and Kazakhstan (2 years). I have had excellent results with students wishing to attain A*(9) grade to those who need to get a C(4). I will use a laptop and also a writing tablet as it is essential that the students can see and hear the work during the lesson. I guarantee results as long as the student will work to their best ability to attain his/her goals. I fully aware of the curriculum requirements of all the UK examination boards, including the International Cambridge board. I am and will be fully aware of the curriculum needs of any pupil I have taught and will tutor. I have retired from teaching and all my efforts now will be fully focused on online tutoring. I look forward to chatting with you and your parents/guardian prior to tuition I have taught Mathematics and Science for 25 years. I specialise in Mathematicss but if a pupil requires both Maths and Science I am prepared to tutor both. Physics would be my main Science subject, . My PGCE was in Mathematics and Physics. If a student will put in the effort I will guarantee success. My lessons will be online using a pc and an active writing tablet. When tutoring Mathematics it is vital that the pupil can see what I am writing. I have extensive materials here and will prepare lessons aimed at the level the pupil's ability. When tutoring exam pupils I will go through extensive past paper questions to ensure that he/she is able to achieve their optimum result. I started tutoring about 8 years ago. I can tutor all the exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, CCEA and Cambridge International. I always keep up to date with curriculum changes and changes to the exam boards. I was head of Department for 5 years and also Head of Pastoral Care for year 11 pupils. Even though I have high expectations from my pupils, I believe my pupils enjoy my lessons which always has a little humour. I suppose my motto is ' Maths is fun If a pupil puts in the effort we will get results.
