A bit about Tamara P

I have a masters in English Literature and History and I am currently doing another masters in Anthropology. I have worked as a tutor for 7 years and have tutored maths, English and science to primary and secondary school children up to GCSE level, both one-on-one and in groups. I have also tutored GCSE history. I have experience working with both primary and secondary aged children and have seen all of my students improved substantially, often surpassing their predicted grades. I make sure to tailor my lessons to the specific needs of my pupil to ensure they can get the most out of our lessons and enjoy what they are learning. Since covid, I have tutored children online and have found it a very effective and interactive way to learn. I have worked in a primary school teaching maths to groups of children who need extra support. Alongside this, I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant for children with additional needs and have a lot of SEN experience, especially with children with autism. I specialise in teaching English Literature, maths, and science. Most of my students are working towards completing their GCSE’s but I also enjoy working with younger children. I ensure my lessons are enjoyable and engaging and love seeing my students improve and gain confidence. I have been tutoring for 7 years and have always found it an immensely rewarding job. I have worked in primary schools, helping children who needed extra help and children with additional needs. I am a very patient person and make sure to ensure my students gain confidence in themselves and their chosen subject.
