A bit about Vernice W

I specialise in Primary education with expertise in reading, writing and maths intervention for pupils who have fallen behind in their learning, due to COVID 19. Despite juggling a young family, I managed to graduate from Newman University with a teaching qualification that I was proud to achieve. During my teaching career each year I have significantly met/achieved my appraisal targets. One of my outstanding years was after working in a deprived school, whilst in my NQT year, I was able to move a high proportion of children with special educational needs up by two levels (Level 2-4). I also wrote and implemented an introduction to database course for lower KS2 after school initiative. During Lockdown I was able to set up homework learning packs for upper KS2 class, which was rolled out to all the year groups within the school. I love music and as a result of this, I am proud to say I was part of a choir that sang at the G8 Summit in Birmingham (1998). My singing has taken me all over - the UK and in Europe. I try and combine my passion for singing with some of my lessons too. I love reading - for pleasure and educational purposes.
