A bit about Adam

I specialise in teaching ESL English to children, though I do have experience with older learners too. I find I am well connected and capable with kids and they enjoy my energetic, dynamic, funny and caring approach to their learning. I can teach all aspects of English in such a way that the students retain what they learn and have fun in the process. I first started tutoring in 2015 when I moved to China. I did some tutoring on the side. Since then I have regularly had private students that I teach, along with my regular job, and more recently I have been tutoring ESL online more intensively as my main method of income generation. I am a 31 year old UK native and University graduate. I studied at the University of Nottingham for Film/ TV studies and French. I have a passion for learning, for travel and for people. I love to express myself and help others by communicating what they need in a very effective way. I love to speak with people and help them to express themselves and feel heard. My other interests are reading, foreign languages, music and movies. First I will do an introduction and tell the students what we will learn. Then I will lead in by asking them some simple questions about their day or ones related to the topic. Then we will dive into the first part of the lesson. I will conduct 2 or 3 main activities with the student targeting different language points and give them an exercise to practice after each one. Then at the end we will warm down with a final activity and a review of what we have learned. We will talk about future lessons too.
