A bit about Krissi

Hi! My name is Krissi. 10 years of being a full time online English teacher and 5 years experience teaching children English as a second language, I'm pretty comfortable in an online classroom. I've lived in 3 countries, have dogs and love to learn languages myself. I run a few roleplaying games, planning and creating entire worlds for my players to interact in. Singing and listening to music are some of my favourite things to do as well. I'm an avid video game player. I play trading card games socially at the local shop. Adaptive and engaged - lots of questions and answers from both of us! If you can explain it to me after, then I know you understand! Every student grows and and learns in different ways. There are so many tools that can help them learn comfortably. What works for one student wont work for another and that's okay. Through communication, trial and practice we can find out how you are most comfortable learning. Learning is supposed to be fun! If you're not comfortable, it will be more difficult to remember. We have a core topic to work around and I use any and all tools to make it engaging and fun for the student, including involving popular topics, music, movies, any points of interest to help aid in comprehension. I specialise in English and English as a second language. English is my native language, but as I have personally learnt and am now fluent in other languages too, I can appreciate the finer points of learning and becoming comfortable communicating, writing and speaking. I honestly just love learning and teaching languages and helping people understand each other. I have a TEFL and TESOL qualifications, DBS for both the UK and Spain. I have good grades from my own GCSE and A-level equivalent studies.
