A bit about Misty

Bilingual (Mandarin) tutor with experience in teaching GCSE / A Level English Language/Literature, Law and Psychology (AAA*). Having lived in different countries in Asia & Europe and working with SEN students, I can adapt my teaching to what is best suited for your method of learning. Specialising in English Language/Literature, Law and Psychology, having gotten A/A* from GCSE to A Levels. I have also worked around children with learning difficulties, picking up on techniques to navigate their learning and make concepts easier for them to understand. Every teacher should also be the lead learner. I am a visual and kinaesthetic therefore my lessons will be interactive and fun! I have also worked around SEN high school children which means I can be flexible and alter my lesson plans specific to what the individual needs. In the first session, I like to assess the student. Have them tell me what they believe they are struggling on, have them show me feedback from their teachers etc. I will also conduct a small test that will show their depth of knowledge and areas that may need strengthening. Identifying whether it is context/content or delivery of answers will allow me prioritise the areas my students need to work on whilst also producing a realistic expectation of their results.
