A bit about Maryam

With 4 years and over 900 hours of tutoring experience, I have acquired the skill of understanding individual student needs, and ensuring lessons are tailored to each. I have experience in tutoring over 30 GCSE students, and am familiar with the current specification. My main aim is to ensure the classroom is a safe space; there is no such thing as too many questions! Being a Medical student, I understand the difficulty to grasp some hard concepts, and would like to make it easier for students to overcome hurdles in their path and reach their full potential. To begin, our lessons will focus on learning the content from start to finish. Every time we complete a topic, we will go through practice exam style questions ensuring you can apply your knowledge to form perfect answers! I completed my GCSES, achieving a 9 in biology, and 8 in maths. My grades totalled to two 9's, three 8's, and four 7's. At A level, I achieved A* (biology), A (chemistry), A (maths). I am familiar with the AQA exam board for GCSE biology, and Edexcel for GCSE maths. I have taught a range of students from KS3 to GCSE.
