I have been a language tutor in Mandarin for 5 years and also teach Chinese culture and history plus teach English as a second language. I have both theoretical and practical knowledge as a mandarin teacher through comprehensive training provided by Chinese Language Council International (also known as Hanban or Confucius Institute) and British Council. I teach according to students’ goals and their needs, such as reinforcing what they have learnt before, revising for tests and mock exams, teaching Chinese culture and history as needed, and training private students. I also encourage students to in suggesting what topics to teach that lesson on their own initiative. I can certainly teach exam skills and language study techniques. I definitely love sharing my passion of languages , Chinese culture and history with people.
