A bit about Tara L

I have been singing for as long as she can remember, and began my vocal training at age for 14, with a classical tutor, in my hometown in Spain. After spending years training in the arts, I moved to London to pursue a career as a performer. I have completed various vocal and performing arts courses and have a BMUS (Hons) Degree in Popular Music Performance specialising in Vocals, which I completed at BIMM London. I have also attended numerous workshops and master classes in the aim to perfect my skill set and to continue to expand my knowledge within the arts, with the aim to constantly refresh & expand my skills. Inspired by the great powerhouse vocalists, such as: Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, Hayley Williams, Lacey Strum, Amy Lee, Whitney Houston, JOJO, Celine Dion, and many more, I set it out as my mission to accomplish the adequate techniques it takes to be able to sing as these hard-core vocalists. Starting off my career as a professional performer at age 17, by working as part of the hotel entertainment team, in prestigious hotels abroad. I now perform regularly in various venues across London and am currently writing and recording for my own album. I have also proudly set-up and managed my own function band for many years now, in which I performs regularly with for events numerous across the country. I have years of experience teaching both privately as well as at my own performing arts school which I run and direct shows for and loves sharing my years of collected knowledge and experience with other performers, with the aim to help them grow. After receiving feedback from my tutors and peers at BIMM London, I was told that covering Rock songs really suited my voice, and that the Rock vocal techniques come easily to me. As a result of this, and in the aim to continue to discover these progressive vocal methods, I then decided to continue to learn more about Rock vocals and went on to work with RMS Vocal institute, which is an extremist Online Vocal school that specialises in teaching good vocal technique and advanced vocal methods to extreme vocalists such as Rock & Metal singers, screamers, and heavy belters. This was an amazing experience to add onto my skill set. I am not just a singing teacher & vocal coach but also a performance coach, guiding my students to be able to engage in their best possible performance. My teaching methods are suitable for all genres and ages. I now also own & run a Performing Arts School in London, where we teach kids aged 3-18 how to sing, dance, act and most importantly to build their confidence. I also write scripts, produce, and direct our school shows which is great fun! In my lessons I focus strongly on the importance of vocal health and works towards showing my students healthy and non-strenuous methods to be able to perform difficult songs with ease. I work with beginners, intermediate and professional singers from all around the world, helping them advan Performance, Powerhouse singing, Pop, Rock, R&B, Soul, Songwriting, Creativity, Confidence Boosting. I plan my lessons out in order to cater to each students needs. In 2014 Helping my students to reach their goals and seeing them grow! There is nothing more rewarding then watching my students improve, I am always so proud! Motivational, conversational, being able to cater to each students needs as each student learns differently. One of the biggest challenges and most important parts of teaching is to be able to recognise that your student is not quite grasping what you are saying and to be able to adapt you're teaching style to become something that they can understand. Inspiring other and helping and seeing them grow. Nothing beats watching your students improve in their skills and blossom as performers! It is a great gift to pass on what you know to others. My main philosophy is to motivate, not to discourage them. In the aim to build the students' independent confidence and study habits, so they can apply what they have learnt from the lesson at home. My energetic and charismatic personality, knowledge in the arts, my motivational teaching and determination to get them to improve within their goals. Well, to name a few: - When I have students improve within just one lesson. - When students and very eager to come back and do not want the class to end and say things like " I want to do this for the full 3 hours". That is always very rewarding and show that they are enjoying the lesson. - Directing whole shows. 2014- 2018 BMUS (Hons) Degree in Popular Music Performance (Vocals) – University of West London. 2014 -2015 TEFL Teaching Certificate – Online. 2013 -2014 BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Performing Arts – Lambeth College, Clapham. 2010 -2011 Performing Arts Course - ESAEM, Málaga. 2009 -2010 Performing Arts Foundation Course - ESAEM, Málaga. 2009 -2010 Vocal and singing lessons and recording - Bahia Records, Málaga. 2008 -2012 Vocal and singing lessons and recording - Escuela de Musica, Alora. 2005 -2009 ESO (GCSE Equivalente) - I E S Las Flores Alora, Spain I was inspired to become a singing teacher & Vocal coach, as I always really enjoyed my vocal lessons and could see myself doing the same for others.
