A bit about Colette C

I have 6 years experience as a science teacher as well as two degrees in science and two degrees in teaching. I am so passionate and inspired about science and enjoy helping students develop their knowledge and love for the subject- giving them the confidence to smash their exams! I have 3 years tutoring experience as well as fantastic knowledge of the exams through exam marking, teaching and tutoring. I am happy to tutor all science at KS3 level, at GCSE I specialise in Biology and Chemistry and at A-level I specialise in Biology. I have tutored all of these subjects to this level and have also taught these subjects to this level. I therefore have sound knowledge and experience in these subjects. A typical tutoring session with me: this will vary greatly dependent on your needs and I am very flexible regarding this. But usually I would cover something you have recently struggled with and we will focus on that content to secure good knowledge. Following that if I am happy you have understood we will practice exam technique on the topic and how you need to answer to get top marks. I also can do crash courses in topics or exam technique as we get closer to the exam season! I have been tutoring for over three years now and absolutely love it! I have taught a wide range of abilities from those aiming at the top to those who need support in passing the subject. This is both at GCSE and A-level. I have also done this at group and individual level to ensure students are given the perfect experience for them. Outside of teaching I’m usually with my little boy swimming, at the park or playing sports!
