A bit about Irene

Special Educational Needs and Autism Maths, Italian, German I have a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training and I hold a Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS). In addition, I have a BA in Communication Studies and an MA + MPhil in Theatre Studies. In my teaching, I make sure I meet students where they are at, building on their likes and interests to plan my classes. No class is like another because no student is like another: my teaching is interactive, engaging, and highly individualised, to allow each pupil to develop their strengths, whilst having fun. My first experience with tutoring was in 2014 at University of Roehampton, London, within my MPhil. I tutored 1st year BA students and it was lots of fun! I am specialised in Primary Maths, and I believe Maths can be a lot of fun! I have extensive experience with Special Educational Needs, and my teaching style is informed by this expertise. Helping Special Needs Students develop their academic skills and be confident at school has been my greatest success and source of pride as a teacher.
