A bit about Shelley Y

A Level English Language and GCSE English. Also specialise in academic writing and essay skills for GCSE, A Level and Higher Education. I have over five years experience in teaching and lecturing in English language at level 3, 4 and 5. Five years experience as a course leader and head of department. Familiarity with exam board AQA. Relevant qualifications include: Degree in English from Manchester Metropolitan University, PGCE from Huddersfield University, RTS (Registered Teacher Status) with the University of Hull and QTLS. I absolutely adore the study of Sociolinguistics, which is the science behind the language we use. I love teaching young adults about the power they have over the language they use and how it is impacted and influenced by every aspect of their lives.
