A bit about Priyanka V

I have vast experience of teaching primary and secondary school students. I have also taught at university level. I have a strong passion for teaching and can teach English, business studies, drama, media and communication studies and film theory. I consider myself friendly and very observant. I am a very patient person willing to understand students subject interests and any problems which may effect their studies. I have a very friendly approach with my students. I like to work in coordination with parents for child welfare. I have masters degree in film studies. I have experience of teaching primary and GCSE students. I can teach various subjects like English, History, Business Studies, Media and Film theory, Craft and Design and I am also equipped to help students with presentation skills, personality and confidence build up. I started tutoring in 2017. My approach varies depending on the students needs and learning style. I place a high value on building the confidence and self esteem of my students, on promoting inquisitive and independent thinking across all areas of life. The first thing what I need to do is getting to know the personality , speed of learning , current skills, level of abilities, so that, I’m able to identify the gaps that should be filled if they are to achieve their potential.Communication between a teacher and a student is one of the most important things. I ask questions on related topic, make a discussion with my student, in this way he/she can express himself, after that I comment on his mistakes. I give a real life situations to my student, so that he can understand where he or she may use this specific grammar tense. My teaching gives my students knowledge they need to prepare for their future. I believe passionately in the huge value of tutoring to students and take great satisfaction in seeing my students achieve their full potential and this is what I love about being a tutor. I consider myself a good tutor, as I always pay attention to what my student already knows, I keep asking them what do they have difficulties with and this what my students love about my teaching style. I can teach primary, KS3 and GCSE (AQA board). I love reading and I am also a film lecturer and filmmaker.
