A bit about Kulmeet

Some of the words used by my students to describe my teaching style are: Precise, To the point, You explain in a way I understand, Your real life examples make the learning stick. I have a relaxed style where students don't feel overwhelmed and give many examples to make abstract concepts (especially in Computer Science where you can't open up a computer to see how things are connected) easy to understand and remember. I always end my session with past exam questions to put the learning into practice. I have been teaching GCSE and A level Computer Science from OCR exam board. However, I am proficient in AQA and Edexcel exam boards as well. I can adapt my teaching for any exam board. As a Head of Faculty, I have created my own units and schemes of work for KS3 Computer Science. My name is Kulmeet Kaur. My students love to call me Mrs K. I have been teaching in a London school for 20 years and have enjoyed massive career progression since I started teaching. I am a Head of Faculty and create schemes of work and resources at all three levels (KS3, KS4 and KS5) in a secondary school. I am a Maths graduate and have completed my Masters in Information and Technology. I have also completed my Qualified Teacher Status. I love to code and I am an advanced Python programmer. I teach coding in a way that demystifies various abstract concepts. I am a very passionate teacher and love seeing the light bulbs go on in my students' eyes.
