A bit about Carrie G

Effective and efficient, with a focus on exam results. I am a fully qualified Biology teacher, with a BSc (Hons) and 30 years of experience teaching Biology in Further Education, 6th Form colleges, and schools. I have assisted hundreds of students in improving their theoretical knowledge at all levels, from GCSE to Degree, as demonstrated by improved exam and coursework grades. Since 2010, I've been tutoring GCSE, IB, and A level Biology, as well as providing test preparation and guidance for coursework. I am an AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC, and Eduqas expert. Additionally, I tutor iGCSE Biology and Anatomy and Physiology/Biomedicine. A level Biology for all exam boards GCSE Biology Nursing Biomedicine Biomedical Access Whether it is GCSE, AS/A2 or Nursing and Medical, I have proven skills to demystify the subject and enable you to have confidence in the language and concepts involved in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology. Ultimately, I believe learning should be and can be fun as well as productive. I endeavor to find out where you are going wrong and help you find ways to correct it, helping you improve your grades. I have been tutoring since 2010 but teaching since 1992. Over the years, I have seen class sizes increase and the amount of one to one tuition decrease. I understand that everyone has different ways of learning and the current teaching styles in schools and colleges do not suit everybody and, at times, people need extra support or guidance. As gaining a science qualification has increased in importance, taking Biology seems like the easy route until you come across the jargon of the subject which can feel like learning a new language as well! I love teaching Biology, Anatomy and Physiology because they are the best and most interesting subjects - I may be biased! My teaching style is always adapted and catered around each students particular needs and learning style. I love helping students feel more confident about Biology.
