A bit about Ilham

I work as an Academic Learning Mentor where I managed to work with a cohort of students to boost their GCSE grades. I have knowledge on OCR and Edexcel exam boards for Maths and a simple teaching method to help you understand topics better. I have had an excellent academic progress during my time in education where I was able to receive qualifications that I feel would be beneficial to have as a teacher/tutor. I performed great in my GCSEs by producing 7-9 grades throughout all my subjects, I would love to help you achieve your best too. I have successfully managed to plan lessons and activities which had a great impact on students’ understanding of a certain topic/subject. I am a creative learning myself and use a variety of techniques when studying such as: pop quizzes, mind maps, role play, interactive educational games etc. Since these techniques help me learn the most, I would incorporate this into learning and revision sessions that I would plan. I always take people’s viewpoint/opinions into consideration and therefore would find out how students learn best and include these ideas within their learning. I have always been very passionate about learning and gaining educational experiences that could lead to a tutoring/teaching career. Reflecting on my own academic period, I appreciate the great impact teachers have on the students by cultivating young people to have an open mind, ability to look at the world critically and belief they can make a positive contribution to society. To become such a role model for pupils does require skill and knowledge which I have acquired through my education and work experience.
