A bit about Gareth G

I am a qualified secondary school science teacher. I love working with students to build up their knowledge and confidence and there is no better feeling than seeing them pass their exams with positive results. I am a people person and am keen to work with and pass knowledge on to students. Book an introduction with me and lets have a chat! My specialist subjects is Science. I am able to teach at Primary/Secondary level including Biology, Physics and Chemistry GCSE. I am passionate about teaching students new skills that they can take with them throughout life and outside of the classroom as well as inside. I am always keeping up to date with developments in my subject areas and enjoy learning new things every day. I have GCSE's, a Levels, A bachelors degree, a masters degree and a PGDE (Teaching Qualification). I have studied and learnt about the subjects I am passionate about for years and the fact I can pass on knowledge and skills to the younger generation is something that I love doing and something that inspires me every day. I love teaching Science because it is so important inside and outside of the classroom. Sharing my knowledge and skills with others is something that gives me a great sense of fulfilment and engaging students with learning is something I am passionate about. I have been to university quite recently and I feel I can relate to students and help them throughout their journey through education. Outside of teaching I love spending time with friends and family, sports, being outdoors, listening to music and reading new things. Time is the most important thing in life and spending it with those I care about means a great deal to me. I also love being active and think sport is a great vehicle for staying physically and mentally healthy. I love being a tutor because it gives me an opportunity to build a rapport with young people and really inspire and challenge them to gain new knowledge and achieve success. I enjoy seeing people do well and by being a tutor, I know I am a small part of that success with makes me feel grateful and proud to have worked with someone and helped them along their journey. My teaching style really depends on the student(s) that I am tutoring. I like to be as flexible and adaptable as possible so I am able to change my style based on student preferences. I like to make my sessions fun and engaging to ensure that at the end of the session, students leave having enjoyed the session and gained more knowledge.
