A bit about Joseph R

I specialise in English Literature which I teach at the University of Surrey. As a result, I have an involved understanding of how the subject works in higher education and how students can make themselves stand out. I also have experience teaching Creative Writing in higher education and Philosophy at A-level I have been tutoring a variety of students for the past 5 years and teaching university seminars for a year. I believe that serious learning almost always stems from genuine curiosity and enjoyment. Usually, when tutoring, I have been engaging with students who - for whatever reason - have fallen out of love with the subject. My first task is reignite a sense of wonder about the possibilities about either the written word, or the philosophical argument. The rest, then, is academic.
