A bit about Antonia S

I am a qualified British Teacher, with over ten years experience teaching, initially in classrooms, and 1:1 at home, and over six years online English teaching. I love teaching and particularly teaching English language and pronunciation and I love learning about new cultures and meeting new students from different cultures and backgrounds. I am an enthusiastic, creative and approachable teacher who truly understands how to make language teaching accessible, fun and relevant, as I myself have experienced learning a language and the difficulties students have to face. Having worked in Marketing and Project management before my career in teaching, I can also offer students my business experience. I pride myself on the creativity and the energy I put into my classes and I prioritise building student’s confidence. I specialise in building fluency and confidence, range of vocabulary and pronunciation using a variety of techniques and resources, always up to date, relevant and most of all fun I plan lessons according to individual students needs. I begin by assessing their level and understanding their difficulties then adapt the planning to ensure they flourish. My lessons are dynamic, creative and most of all fun and I ensure there are always elements of listening, reading and comprehension, analysis and debate as well as general conversation I gained my post graduate certificate of education at Brunel University over 12 years ago, then taught in schools, then moved to teaching face to face and online tutoring over 8 years ago I pride myself on the creativity and the energy I put into my classes and I prioritise building student’s confidence. I feel that these are the reasons that I have had many students booking again and repeat business. I love to see students gain fluency and confidence and blossom. I also love language, its structure, complexity and sounds Creative, dynamic, modern, relaxed, effective, targeted and fun Being free to meet so may different students and help them progress All the students of different ages, levels and nationalities that I have helped succeed - some with exams, some to gain jobs and some to gain confidence . I have been teaching for over 10 years and have taught many nationalities and ages from age 3 to age 80. One language student I had been teaching is now confident and effective enough to become a language teacher herself .
