A bit about Bram W

I'm an experienced teacher of 15 years, having worked in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Vietnam. I have two Master's Degrees and have been involved with curriculum design and middle management. As a campaigner, I also published a book on the Refugee Crisis in Europe and am currently doing a PhD with the University of Exeter. History, Politics, Geography, Philosophy, Sociology, Global Perspectives, Religious Studies For me, relationship is key. My lessons are planned, but flexible, depending on the needs of the students. Content is important, but stimulating the thinking skills of my students forms the core of my teaching. Since 2007 in various settings. What I love most about my subject area is that it helps students understand the world they grow up in. History is part of everyone and it thus helps me connect to all the different varieties of humanity. What I love most about my subject area is that it helps students understand the world they grow up in. History is part of everyone and it thus helps me connect to all the different varieties of humanity. I am engaged and passionate. What I have to say matters, not just for achieving high grades, but to understand the world. Therefore, relationships are important, as it is my conviction that students only learn from you, if they can relate to you in a safe and stimulating environment. I am knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Numerous students over the years have been inspired by my approach. The time you have with your student on a one-to-one basis. It gives you the opportunity to achieve depth and really make progress. Teaching is a product of interaction and never a one-way process. Thinking is at least as important as hard work. In combination they can develop into something beautiful. My free-flowing, engaging narrative. I have the ability to make connections which students often struggle making on their own. I am relatable, accessible, fun and passionate. I was nominated as teacher of the year in the Netherlands by my students. The results of my exam groups have always been excellent and I have inspired quite a few students to study the Humanities at university level. Master's Degree in Contemporary History - 2004 - University of Groningen (the Netherlands) Master's Degree in Education - 2006 - University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands) Qualified Teacher Status - UK Currently on a PhD programme, due for completion in 2026. My love of knowledge and people. AQA, Edexcel year 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.
