A bit about Helen B

I qualified as a teacher in 2002 and was awarded my QTS in 2003. I have a wealth of experience teaching in both primary and secondary schools in Northern England (Cheshire, Staffordshire & South Yorkshire). I began tutoring online in 2015. ⭐Primary English ⭐Primary Maths ⭐Phonics ⭐Primary French & German ⭐KS3 French & German ⭐English as a Second Language ✅Lessons are well structured and as every student is different, content is tailored to the needs of each individual student. Activities are fun and varied, with a balanced exposure to the different learning styles and teaching approaches. All lessons begin with a discussion of learning objectives and a relevant starter activity, followed by the main lesson material and conclude with a plenary. Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. As well as an online teacher, I am a mummy to 2 children . I also have 3 cats and a dog called Dougal. In my spare time, I enjoy developing digital educational resources. I am an author of a children's Christmas fiction book and love creative writing. In addition, I like running , listening to all types of music from smooth jazz to heavy metal and taking my dog for walks. I always knew I wanted to become a teacher from a young age. My mum was a teacher and I observed how much joy she gained from the profession. Sharing knowledge is such a rewarding practice, building trust and watching students grow in confidence is simply wonderful. Fun, well-paced, interactive lessons. However, It completely depends on what the student wants and needs. Everyone is different and teaching approaches have to be adapted accordingly. Encouraging student participation through structured activities which engage and inspire, is vital to success.
