A bit about Eva F

I specialize in English Literature up to A level, and English language up to GCSE however I am also qualified to teach maths, science, creative writing, and even psychology! I first started tutoring three years ago and since then have had the privilege of teaching over 100 students for more than 1500 hours! I teach all exam boards including AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC as well as iGCSEs. I teach all year groups up to and including A level. I am a final year student studying English with Creative Writing at University. I enjoy music, writing, and cooking in my spare time. I focus on adapting to each student, lessons are usually planned during conversations with the student to be able to figure out what works for both of us :) Often, this is laid out in a combination of a recap at the start of the lesson, followed by worked examples, before then looking at independent practice to support the student's confidence. I love seeing students grow in confidence and see their love for the subject grow alongside it. So often there is a misunderstanding between learning and it being a 'chore'. I love bringing the fun in learning back for students! In 10 weeks of intensive tutoring I was able to get a student in year 11 from a grade 4 to a grade 7 which he received in his final exams! I was so proud of his hard work and the difference that my tutoring made on him. I love cooking, music, writing, and swimming! It is never to late to make a difference! Students often ask whether they are 'too late' before their exams to start tutoring, but it is never too late to gain skills that will help a student in their learning, studying, and their exams. I have wanted to be a teacher since I first volunteered at a school, aged 14. Since then, I have taught 1-1 and group sessions online to students of all ages and backgrounds. Experiencing teaching different curriculums, TEFL, and SEN has given me many learning opportunities and helped me to develop my passion for teaching.
