A bit about Charlotte S

I have been teaching art and design for fourteen years and I have managed and delivered GCSE fine art, art textiles and photography. I have lots of experience building skills across KS3 and KS4 with successful outcomes. I specialise in fine art, art textiles and photography at KS3 and KS4. I have 14 years of experience with AQA exam board. I like to create lessons that are tailored to your interest and hobbies and the skills you want to explore and develop. I have a wide knowledge of expertise in the arts to help support young artists. I have been tutoring for fourteen years. What I love about teaching is that Everyday is different, every student is different and I get to use my own passion to inspire others. I have a genuine love for the creative subjects and want to help others to meet their full potential. My teaching style is fun, engaging and forward thinking. I like to think outside of the box and explore options that will show you the possibilities within art, explore a wide range of styles, techniques and mediums. What I love most about tutoring is seeing my students succeed and thrive in art. When I can see a student enjoying making art and succeeding I feel proud of their achievements. Every mistake is a lesson. Every failure is an opportunity. I am enthusiastic about the arts and my passion comes across in my teaching. I build strong supportive relationships and want to drive my students to be the best possible versions of themselves. My greatest success in teaching is when a students who is not interested initially in my subject becomes enthralled by making art. I have captured their love for art. 10 GCSEs grades A-C 3 A levels including art and product design BA (hons) arts Fully qualified teacher status (GTP) 2008 I wanted to be a teacher after my music teacher at school inspired me to believe that I could be anything I wanted in life. She gave me the confidence at school to strive to be the best version of me and I pass this message onto my own students. My interests and hobbies include long walks in the countryside, making my own art, going to the theatre and art shows and classical singing. I currently deliver fine art, art textiles and photography with AQA at KS4 and deliver art and design at KS3.
