A bit about Rita S

Rita teaches all required GCSE Physics and Science through everyday examples, videos, stories, fun facts. Students also learn useful tips on how to maximise their potential and take their tests and exams effortlessly. Calm, cheerful atmosphere guaranteed. With 20 years of experience in teaching, I have helped many students pass their tests and exams with flying colours. We talk about the topic, some words related to it, bring up everyday examples, watch short videos and discuss what we understand from them. Then we jot down the explanations, the key words, equations - as real scientists do. Finally, we see what kind of tasks and questions are out there on this topic, and solve them. We discuss which bit was easy and which was challenging, so that we know where to start next time. During my undergraduate studies: that was more than twenty years ago! The moment when my students get it, and are filled with confidence. Talking with the students about the topic, relaxed atmosphere, lots of quizzes and examples, looking at past tests, finding the misconceptions and eliciting them together. (Called also: co-learning, use of paraphernalia, assessment for learning, Rosenshine's principles). Students progress much faster, and they enjoy their learning, as it is all personalised. Personalised teaching, experience-based learning tools, curiosity and fun will lead to success.
