A bit about Angel

I have a Bachelor's degree in Education Studies. As someone interested in teaching from a young age, I have geared my studies and professional experiences towards education and teaching. I have almost 5 years worth of teaching experience which includes tutoring and working as a general Teaching Assistant or a 1-1 for mild SEN students in a mainstream primary school. I'm currently undertaking PgCE (Primary Education, 5-11). During this course, I have completed placements which required me to plan and deliver lessons for 70-80% of the week. Whilst studying on a postgraduate course, I am looking to enhance my teaching portfolio with new experiences. I'm specifically looking to tutor online as it's something I don't have much experience in. As someone who grew up in a third-world country, I was neither satisfied with the education system nor the teachers. Growing up, I wondered if things were different in other parts of the world. After moving to the UK, I was moved by the kindness and open-mindedness shown by my teachers. I would role-play being a teacher, each time it gave me a positive feeling. I decided to pursue teaching as it made me happy and it's something I genuinely enjoy. TLDR: My teachers inspired me! Outside teaching, I'm interested in learning more about mental health and self-improvement. I enjoy reading blogs and posts that people write from their experiences, because it introduces me to new perspectives. During the weekend, you can catch me at a local cat cafe. I spend the rest of my free time watching anime or K-dramas, as well as listening to BTS! For the past two years I have found hair dyeing extremely therapeutic, so I occasionally spend my spare time researching about hair dyes. Such as, colour mixing and bleaching / colouring techniques. All learners should have the opportunity and space to learn.
