A passionate and dedicated French and Spanish secondary school teacher
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
Hi, I’m Holly. I completed my PGCE at the University of Oxford and since then, I have been working as a French and Spanish teacher in a secondary school in the UK. I studied French and Spanish at the University of Birmingham, and alongside my current teaching role, I am also working towards completing my MSc in Psychology, focussing on educational psychology.
I have four years’ experience teaching French, Spanish and ESL: I spent a year in Mexico where I worked in a private language school teaching both private and small group lessons to children aged 4-11. At this time, I also taught private ESL classes to adults. Following this, I completed my PGCE in Oxford and began my secondary school teaching, and have experience teaching both French and Spanish to KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have taught GCSE for both French and Spanish for AQA and Edexcel, as well as A-Level. I have supported A-level students in preparing for their speaking assessment, as well as working through the required texts. I have also worked with University students to help prepare for speaking assessments and other exams, including finals.
I love teaching and am confident in my ability to engage students of all ages and all levels. During our first lesson, I will spend time getting to know you and to understand your goals for language learning. Following this, I will develop our classes around you and your interests, encouraging feedback from you to ensure that all lessons are planned to suit you. I use a range of dynamic and professional teaching techniques, developed from both my own experiences as well as pedagogical research.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any further information and I look forward to talking to you soon.
