A bit about Daniel H

A teacher of Maths in a comprehensive secondary school. I transitioned into teaching after a career in law to follow my instincts and move to the classroom. I like to make maths relevant and I always approach with enthusiasm and humour. I build strong relationships with my students. KS2-KS4 Maths. GCSE Statistics. I tend to model my process and ask the student to repeat with a slightly different question. I repeat this process until the results are confidently positive. For students approaching examinations I focus on process for questions topics that I am quietly confident will arise on the papers. I began teaching 4 years ago. I am 28 years of age. I love algebra. Helping students to understand the relevance of algebra in real life and is transition into industry. I enjoy the black and white nature of the subject and helping students to interleave and draw connections between different topic areas. understanding in Maths is a aid in many professions and further learning in other subject areas. I teach with an informal approach. I like to understand my students and tailor their lessons to their attributes. I ensure to build confidence in my students with positive reinforcement and encouragement.
