A bit about Maryam

My name is Maryam. Currently I am working as a math tutor/teaching assistant. Math is my favourite and I think it is a great subject. I believe everyone has the potential to do well in math and excel. I take my pupils work very seriously and their progress which I have huge interest in, means a lot to me. I have completed my undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in engineering IT and computing. I had opportunity to do well in mathematics as my favourite subject. I would love to share and pass on my own knowledge and experiences with others through tutoring. I can concentrate on each student 100% of the time. Besides, I absolutely love when I help and see my tutees excel and progress. Their success is my reward. I have an easy to understand style to teach. Try to simplify big problems into smaller parts, making sure students find the math easy to follow and understand. I intend to look for any knowledge gap and make sure students are happy and confident before proceeding to the next level. My sessions are normally fun and engaging. Consistency is vital in my work. I am very patient, friendly, calm, understanding and sympathetic. I have a non-judgmental approach and have high respect for my tutees who wish to progress and improve their mathematical skills. I am very encouraging and spend considerable amount of time planning and preparing for each lesson and provide students with loads of positive energy every time.
