A bit about Joanne R

I love that in English there is no right or wrong answer and that any response can be explored and developed. English is an exciting, liberating and expressive subject (when taught well) and I love to see my students fall in love with all that English has to offer! When I teach...I teach as though I am the student. I want to enjoy my learning, I want to express my thoughts and I want to be inspired by my teacher. My teaching style is dynamic, personable and creative. I aspire to make English accessible to all. My favourite subject at school was English and my initial dream was to become a magazine journalist (however I was too scared to move to London!) I soon found that teaching English offered me space to be creative. My favourite book is 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles' by Thomas Hardy.
