A bit about Hannah F

My name is Hannah, I am an energetic and committed primary school teacher and tutor with experience across all primary age groups. I have experience teaching all subjects, and a specialism in reading and phonics. I am also an English specialist, so I am able to tutor in English up to GCSE/A Levels. I specialise in all primary subjects, as well as English up to A Levels. I also specialise in early reading and learning to read, such as phonics, and early writing. I first started tutoring whilst working as a teacher and training in the last two years. I love teaching primary subjects as there is a fantastic depth and scope, and it allows children to develop and expand their particular passions and interests. I love teaching English because I am a writer and avid reader, and I feel reading and writing are two of the most important skills, as well as a way to enjoy yourself. My lessons will form a 1:1 session with the pupil, where we will discuss their work and I can identify any misconceptions or areas for development. I will work closely with the pupil to ensure they receive the best support, and create personalised resources and assessments to ensure they are on track. I am very child-led and child-centred, and thus will do my best to work the the pupil on the areas I identify they need support with, or they would like extra help with. I seek to support pupils to find the love and passion in their subject and learning. I have Qualified Teacher Status, as well as TEFOL (teaching English as a foreign language), a Masters degree in Gender Studies with a First, a Bachelors degree in Literature with a 2:1, and a PGCE in Primary Education. I studied English Language and Literature at A Level, and received an A, as well as Psychology (A) and History (B). I teach all primary year groups, and English up to GCSE/A Level.
