A MSc Maths Durham Uni graduate specialised in teaching A-level Maths
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I am a recent MSc Mathematics graduate from the University of Durham, from where I obtained a pass with distinction. During my 3rd year of undergraduate studies at Durham, I tutored an A-level student privately. I planned my lessons according to my student’s strengths and weaknesses so that they were most beneficial to him. I have also developed my clarity in explaining relatively difficult A-level concepts, by breaking them down to smaller pieces which are easy to understand. Having started with a U in A-level Mathematics, my student eventually received a place at Newcastle University to study Law.
Prior to university, I achieved A*s in both A-level Maths and Further Maths, and was always keen on tutoring my peers to getting better marks. Before attending sixth-form college, I helped fellow students who were making their way towards attending the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad, by providing them with notes and writing up example sheets. It is rewarding to see students succeed, which is the reason I have always loved tutoring.
