A bit about Cecilia C

I am a dedicated, energetic master's student with a passion for teaching! When I'm not tutoring or studying, you'll find me outdoors in nature or at a park if I'm not home buried in a book or painting. Book a session with me and we can learn together and get to know each other :) I did my undergraduate degree on History and International Relations, working on my master's now on Human Rights and Politics. I value an interdisciplinary education so I did the science high school and Biology Advanced Placement Exam. This depends completely on the student, given that I tailor my lessons accordingly to my student's needs. Some people might need more structured planned out lessons and others might need them to be more flexible and creative. In summary, I plan out my lesson in relation to what the students need and seek. I was probably 15 years old when I started tutoring after school. Since then I have not stopped and worked for schools and charities that teach children. Inspiring the students, making them interested in something I'm so interested in is incredibly fulfilling. Probably what I love the most are the questions I get asked sometimes, making me feel like I learn as much as I tutor! Individually-tailored, not everyone has the same skills and should not be forced under the same system, I understand different styles work for different people. That said, even if my style varies to suit the student's needs, it is always based on dynamic learning through positive reinforcement. Expect physical and creative activities to be included in the tutoring if possible Learning and growing with, and from, my students. That we are two people learning together. This bases the teaching on a horizontal relation rather than the classic vertical relations of authority between teacher and student. My philosophy is that we are both equals! I don't want to speak for them, but I can guess my attitude, flexibility, and overall energy when teaching. A kid that behaved poorly in class. After I got to know him through private tutoring, his school teacher informed his behaviour had immensely improved in class BA History and International Relations from SOAS MSc Human Rights and Politics from LSE It has always been a passion of mine. I grew up with a younger brother so even before I started tutoring as a teenager I was always teaching him Activism, art, sports, and spending quality time with friends and family.
